Investment Counseling for Military and First Responders

Don Ross has spent nearly his entire career serving his country, alongside his service to his financial planning clients. After 25 years of service as a pilot in the Ohio National Guard, Don reenlisted into the Reserves two years ago and currently serves as a career counselor. This position allows him the opportunity to offer guidance to soldiers who are at crossroads in their careers. He brings to this role the same passion for helping others as he does through his work with Ross Wealth Advisors. 

 

Because of his lifetime of service, Don is particularly passionate about helping active and inactive military personnel, police officers, and other first responders who serve as they prepare to retire. He says, “It is important to me to help those who are like minded with their retirement planning and guide them to make the right decision to prepare to retire, or who may already be retired.” 

 

While his shared background with those in the military makes for an obvious connection for him in his financial advisor role, he says that their concerns are the same as everyone else.  It turns out that, “everyone shares the same dreams, goals, and wants. Safety for their money, and assurance that they are not going to run out of money.” Don and his team work with a mixture of those who are already retired and those who are planning to retire.

 

The number one thing that Don suggests everyone does to ensure that they are able to make their dreams a reality? Wherever you are in your retirement journey, “make sure that you are allocated in your investment savings properly.”
